I've been in B2B sales for almost 20 years, and I still love it. There's something deeply satisfying about understanding what people actually need, building real relationships, and making things happen.
Along the way, I've always hit quota attainment and more, closed multi-million dollar deals, and worked with Fortune 500 companies. But honestly, what keeps me in this game is the variety; no two opportunities, projects, teams, industries, or people are the same.
My background is a bit of a mosaic, and I like it that way. I was on the founding team at Tapingo, spent years in large enterprise environments as a 2x Googler, plus stops at HP, Yahoo, Ricoh, and Onix, managing accounts for Fortune 500 companies across industries.
I've sold Augmented Reality (Dev & Creative), Google Maps APIs, software dev implementations & services, big data, AI, Cloud, SAAS, first-to-market mobile apps, office equipment, recruiting platforms, and more to both the public and private sectors. Every industry has taught me something new, and I genuinely enjoy the process of figuring out what makes a customer and a market tick.
Alongside my corporate work, I run LA Riise Consulting, where since 2019 I've supported seed-stage sales, administrative, marketing, and operations teams, helping them set goals, build repeatable processes, and rapidly grow their customer base and user adoption. I bring the same skill set that's driven my enterprise career: contract negotiation, business development, coaching and mentoring, account management,
I've also moonlighted on social media and marketing projects for companies like Green Alpha Advisors and Listed Productions, along with several friends' businesses and artist pages, work that keeps my creative muscles active alongside the strategic ones.
Outside of work, you'll find me doing philanthropy work, mentoring, animal sitting (I love all animals), practicing yoga, swimming, cooking, and soaking up live music and art. I'm a Gold Award Girl Scout with a lifelong love of the outdoors. I travel whenever I can, especially to Oaxaca and Norway, where I have sacred family homes.
My foundation for all of this goes back to Oakdale, CA (where I grew up, was class president, Varsity Girls Soccer Goalie and Captain #Moose), then UCSB, where I studied Political Science & Philosophy and was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi, Cal Zeta Chapter. I also studied abroad in Copenhagen, which sparked a lifelong love of travel and different ways of seeing the world, something that still shows up in how I build relationships across cultures and industries today.
I believe in staying curious, leading with positive energy, and saying yes to new experiences, even the ones outside my comfort zone.
My strengths are building authentic relationships, thinking strategically, and bringing enthusiasm to hard problems, whether it's a complex sales cycle or something I've never tried before.
