Girl Scout Turned Consultant

My Grandmother, Jaqueline Carleton Riise quilted and taught me to sew and knit at a young age. She made beautiful handmade things that made people happy, warm, and comforted with Soroptimist International. Also a businesswoman and local legend beautician, My grandma Jackie was a refined, warm, calm, kind and mannered woman from Berkeley, and in the middle of the Cowboy Capital of the World, she was my best friend.  As the youngest of five, with a large span between siblings and a busy active family, my grandma and I became very close. During our joyous times together, she inspired me to be dedicated to being of service to others. During my youth, I spent 10 years exuberantly in Girl Scouts (yes, selling cookies in High School, which resulted in scholarships and life-affirming summer camps) earning the Gold Award, and an early member of the Explorer Boy Scouts (for girls), 4-H, Service Club, Leadership, and Oakdale High School Class President 2002.

I still carry on this passion to be of service to others, it is an intrinsic part of who I am at my core. Specifically, I would love to be of service on projects centered around climate, clean tech, emerging tech, social justice, arts, music, and community.
